Description
Circa 1971, I was 16 years old and Rock Climbing at Stoney Point in Southern California. I was terrible at group sports. I found my calling in Rock climbing, because it was all about competing against myself and the rock. Success or failure was measured by me and not my climbing companions. This was all long before Rock Climbing became a fad. Climbing helped me stay alive.

I understand it . I feel it too. I want to measure my own goals by myself. I don't wanna be cheated by an external ranking. And I feel trapped in this fucking exam my father's doing of me, and as I have no money there's no way to do anything.
